Restorative Dentistry
Healthy teeth and gums can instill confidence and give you a reason to smile. At Wesbrook Village Dental Centre, we provide restorative solutions to maintain and improve the health of your teeth.
Dental Bonding
If you have tooth imperfections such as cracks, misshapen teeth, or chips, dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure that can help to improve how your teeth look. This process uses composite resin that is applied to the surface of the teeth; your dentist will colour-match the resin to the surrounding teeth and shape and cure the material into the desired shape.
Dental Implants
If you are looking for a permanent solution to replace your missing teeth, you may want to consider dental implants. Dental implants consist of a titanium post that is surgically placed into your jawbone. This post acts like a tooth root and provides a solid support system for a dental crown.
Dental Bridges
If you have missing teeth and are looking for a solution to restore them, ask your dentist if a dental bridge is a suitable option for you. Dental bridges are created using dental crowns that sit on top of the teeth on either side of the gap. These crowns hold a fake tooth in place, filling the gap between the teeth.
Dental Fillings
When dental cavities develop, they provide a gateway for bacteria to infiltrate the dental pulp that sits inside the tooth. This often results in a tooth infection which can cause severe pain and damage to the tooth. It’s not always easy to spot cavities, so if you experience any pain or sensitivity, we recommend booking an appointment with your dentist.
Inlays and Onlays
If your teeth are slightly damaged or decayed, there are several options your dentist may employ to restore them. While dental fillings are suitable to fill small holes in the teeth, larger areas of damage may require an inlay or onlay to restore them.
Dentures
If you have missing teeth, we recommend replacing them promptly, as gaps in the teeth affect optimal chewing function, making it difficult to break up your food. Missing teeth also allow the surrounding teeth to shift out of place, causing misalignment issues that affect your oral health. Dentures are recommended to replace missing teeth and prevent more serious issues from occurring.
